Welcome to the Junction Triangle

There are so many great neighbourhoods to choose from for those that are looking for real estate in Toronto. If you're interested in living in a region that combines the history of the city and the best in modern architecture then you should think about looking in the Junction Triangle - the area in the west end of the city on both sides of Bloor between Lansdowne Avenue and Keele Street. The railroad tracks that roughly border the neighbourhood give the area its triangular shape and its name.

Thanks to its proximity to the tracks and the Ontario Stock Yards, the southern side of the Junction Triangle neighbourhood was originally mostly industrial properties. This was a place where people made everything from paint to chemicals. Then the families of those working in the factories started moving into homes close by. This is when the Junction became one of Toronto's melting pots for all sorts of different cultures and people.

While you will find some factories still existing in this former industrial hub, most of the area is now full of parks, shops, restaurants, and homes. Some of the factory buildings have been turned into modern lofts and this is certainly an area that is actively working to build an identity of its own. You will find many young professionals and first-time homebuyers showing great interest in the Junction Triangle, Toronto.
